I Wonder If They Will Remember...

...That this is the second cake I baked,

Because the first one ended up being a ship wreck instead of a pirate ship.

...That I ran them to the second hand store AND did a load of wash on the day of thier party,

So they could all be dressed up as pirates.

...That we fed them well,
And sang off key.

...That we invited friends,

And family so they could have a happy birthday.

Or, maybe they'll just remember how much we love them.

Happy Birthday, Caleb.

Love, Mom, Dad, Jesse, Libby, Abby, Jonah,

Papa and Grandma, Seachelle, Cannyn, Brystan, and Chris.

I love the cake and I love the face you turned the first cake into the "ship wreck." Brilliant. That is awesome and they all look so cute as pirates!

Isn't it wonderful how kids tend to forget the "oops" things and only remember the good things? Luckily they'll have the photos of the shipwrecked cake to bring back the memories!

No way - a possum! That is a definite bedlam moment. One of these days I am going to have a bedlam party with a linky set up and everything....you have to post that.

50 lbs of ground beef. If you weren't on the absolute other side of the country, I 'd be there with you. YOU CAN DO IT!!! Maybe start with ten. :)
And while some is raw do meatballs. You can have chili, mexican, italian, sloppy joes...all that in minutes once you cook that stuff up. Once you do it....you better let me know and I will post it with a big hip. hip, horray. Such a pain to get that started though...trust me, I know.

Several things:

We went to a pirate party this weekend, too...but your cake was much better.

And I even loved the shipwrecked cake. Girl, you are TALENTED!

Happy Birthday, Caleb!

This is one of my most favorite, favorite, favorite DC Talk songs. (I dig them in a MAJOR way.)
"If struggle has a purpose on the narrow road You've carved, why do I dread my tresspasses will leave a deadly scar?"

DUDE...that's pure poetry and truth right there. I love this song...

Oh I think you could've kept the shipwreck cake.... put the Kraken in the middle of it. ;) Both cakes are impressive! We're such a pirate family, so we have a pirate party every year. Love it!

I LOVE that shipwreck, AND that you were determined enough to make a second one. You are totally my kind of mom, and they will remember! How much sleep did you give up to make sure the cake was perfect?

No way he will remember the "shipwrek" as the highlight - look at all that other coolness! Plus it can become one of *those* stories later on...

Hey Mom, remember that cake...

Thanks for coming by MA on my BATW day!
