Weird Housekeeping

I don't read Good Housekeeping. Who needs that pressure? Martha and Heloise can kiss my- oh, wait, I actually like Martha.
Anyway...
I am married to a contractor. I have a house that is presently lacking a kitchen and is covered on demo dust. I have a big tub that I hate to clean. Besides, I usually use the shower.
Except today. Today I wanted a bath. And the tub wanted to be cleaned first. But it didn't tell me that until I was standing naked inside of it surveying the tubscape. Yuck!
So I grabbed the Soft Scrub and a white wash cloth and scrubbed that monster down. Naked. In the tub. I have heard of people doing this and I have always thought they were nuts.
Can I just say that this was the easiest tub scrub EVAH? Yes it was. And when it was sparkly clean I plugged it and sat down in the warm, clean water.
So, what is your wackiest housecleaning trick?
Cuz I'm pretty sure I will be cleaning my bathtub naked from now on.

Thank you for the visual.

awe, yes! I have cleaned my shower naked with a spray! I would not advise this due to the fact that I then NEEDED to take a shower fast because of the burning all over my body! I do hope no one saw you through the window! lol

Ms College level blogger...I think you spelled "weird" wrong. Oh you know you would point that out to me if the situation were reversed ;) I have cleaned my shower before while taking a shower because, like you said, it is SOOOOO much easier. Other than that I don't have any wacky housekeeping rituals...But that sure made for a funny post. As usual.

It's not terribly wacky, but I clean our shower while I'm in it...just easier that way.

Oh, and I fold clothes and iron while watching a movie or a TV series on DVD...I allow myself that luxury so that the monotony doesn't creep in. Some days I actually look forward to tackling a pile of ironing..."Ooooh, I can watch 2 episodes of 'The Tudors' while I'm preasing and creasing." Yeah...I'm weird like that.

No housekeeping tricks. Except that I have someone else do my tricks. That doesn't sound right...

I'm now going to try a little naked cleaning. That's a great way to get husbands to help. "Naked Cleaning Day!" You. Are. Brilliant.

I agree with Lula too. I do laundry during a tv show, then put it away during commercials.

During the 100 degree heat wave days this past May, and no A/C units in yet, one night I got home from my 2nd job (at the DIRT track, dirt+sweat=gross stuff) I decided to cool off with a cold shower. I had also just bought the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for hard water spots, and figured I'd give it a go. I scrubbed, and cooled off, and scrubbed some more, and spent probably 2 hours in there getting everything brand new and shiny . . . and I was shivering and LOVING it when I got out! Now whenever I get extra warm, I scrub and rinse. Love it!

I clean the shower while I'm in it too, but that's about as wacky as I get. :)

If Tricia thinks the visual of how you clean is bad, I better not tell her how I clean.

I recently discovered the naked shower cleaning ritual and may I just say that it is so much easier than leaning over a tub trying to get all the gunk off the sides.

However, I did discover that Crayola shower crayons are VERY HARD to remove from the shower walls, and that wouldn't change - clothes or no clothes.
