Candy Land, Part 1

Last week I left you with shots of what would become the main decorations for my son's 6th birthday party.
Clearly, the theme was Candy Land. Well, here they all are in their panted glory along with some of the other decorations I put out.
You gotta love friends. I mentioned to one friend what I was doing and she volunteered her stash of candy themed Christmas decorations.
The tablescapes are made from a mix of things I owned and her borrowed goods.
She even loaned me candy garland that looked like Life Savers, which I hung in the doorways.

What a wonderful wonderful birthday theme. You've done a great job decorating. You are so talented!

Super! Are you going to try the animation business?

Let the record show that I have no intrinsic artistic ability. I scanned the images into the computer, edited them to be "coloring pages" (black outlines), then printed them onto overhead transparencies. I projected them using an overhead projector onto cardboard "slipsheets" from Costco. This is a great source for free, clean, dry cardboard, by the way. These are the sheets that go between their stack layers on palates, and they are more than happy to give these to you.
