Saturday Sonnet


I'm warm and toasty,
Mellow and roasty,
and I don't have to get out of bed.
No lunches to pack,
No hair bows, no snack.
"It's Saturday," I say in my head.
The bed with just me in it,
Lasts only a minute,
As my little guy comes for a snuggle.
Adjust the covers, close my eyes,
Pull him in tight as my little one sighs.
Suddenly my little guy starts to struggle.
We jump up real fast- he and me,
Because no one likes laying in pee....

    LOL!!!! Oh that was so good. And so very close to home. Ughhhh....nothing like laying in pee. Now comes the bed washing. Good luck.

    Oh no! No...laying in pee does not sound like a good option. And that bed...it looks gorgeous. How long do you think it might stay white after you factor in kids, pets, and a husband??

    Well, that is the bed I wish I had...
    But, there are no pets. We don't snuggle with the goldfish too much.
